Mr. Urio is a senior advocate of the High Court of Zanzibar and registered IP agent in Zanzibar. He is a Member of East Africa Law society and Zanzibar Law Society. He oversees all matters in Zanzibar to ensure that nothing is left unattended.

Due to his expertise in the area of IP and experience especially on IP infringement and litigation issues, Mr Urio adds knowledge to the team when it comes to brand protection/anti-counterfeiting service such as investigation, market search, customs support and raids support and training in the area of Intellectual property, business management and corporate.

Urio assists clients with all aspects of identifying, protecting, and benefitting from their intellectual property, with a particular emphasis on securing patent protection, challenging patents, opining on patent matters, and advising on transactions and licensing. Farouk has extensive experience in protecting intellectual property around the world and managing large IP portfolios.

In corporate and real estate transaction, Mr. Urio, has extensive experience working on regulatory, transactional, enforcement and advisory projects in these areas. He specializes in national and international business matters. His skills are based on his experience in studying various national and international law, reading books, reading court decisions and pursuing legal journals in relation to commercial matters.
