Business Visa
SUMMARY AND REQUIREMENTS
Purpose:
The Business Visa is issued to foreign nationals intending to enter the United Republic of Tanzania for short-term professional or commercial activities not exceeding 90 days. This includes, but is not limited to:
• Fixing or repairing machines
• Running short-term training programs
• Auditing accounts
• Conducting feasibility studies
• Establishing professional or business contacts
• Facilitating initial investment arrangements
• Any other short-term lawful business-related task as determined by immigration authorities
Note: A Business Visa is not a substitute for a Residence Permit and cannot be extended or renewed while the holder remains in the country.

Eligibility:

Required Documents:
1. Valid Passport (biographic data page; minimum 6 months validity)
2. Return Flight Ticket
3. Business Engagement Proof (such as a work contract, letter from host organization, or proof of assignment)
4. Completed Visa Declaration Form
5. Visa Fee: USD 250
Important: Begin travel only after receiving visa approval. Entry may still be denied at the border if immigration conditions are not met.
Important Notes:
• Visa is not renewable or extendable in Tanzania
• The business visa does not grant work authorization
• Those with business assignments longer than 90 days must apply for a Residence Permit
• All supporting documentation must be clear, complete, and verifiable
