The Immigration Department of the United Republic of Tanzania has announced a major verification exercise for all foreign nationals living and working in the country. The press release, issued by the Chief Spokesperson of the Immigration Department, is aimed at informing the public, including employers and business owners, about the upcoming inspection.
The verification exercise is scheduled to take place from September 11 to October 8, 2025. This operation will focus on checking residence permits and other immigration statuses to ensure that all foreign nationals are in compliance with the law.
To cooperate with this exercise, concerned individuals must visit a designated Immigration Office. They can go to the Kurasini Immigration Office, the Zanzibar Immigration Head Office, or any Regional Immigration Office. When they go, they must bring their passports along with their relevant immigration status documents for verification within the specified timeframe.
